Community Development Department

The Community Development Department promotes economic growth and well-being for the community’s tax base by facilitating physical improvements and working to ensure that structures are in compliance with all applicable building and property maintenance codes.

For newly approved developments, the Community Development Department manages performance securities, ensures code compliance, issues and administer permits, and performs inspections. The Community Development Department also administers the business and rental registration and licensing programs. 

The Community Development Department works side by side with the Economic Development Department to foster a positive appearance for the community, maintain the Village’s reputation in the region by providing a high level of service and preserve history while carving out a strong future position. Their commitment is to the betterment of the built environment, as well as the livability of the community.
