Employment Opportunity – Administrative Assistant (Part-Time)

The Village of West Dundee is seeking a highly organized individual with a basic understanding of municipal regulations affecting the built environment. Excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills and a strong sense for providing exceptional customer service are required.

This position serves as administrative assistant to the Community Development Department, and reports to both the Community Development Director and Sr. Administrative Assistant. Availability to work 12:30pm - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday is required. The position may provide flexibility to work additional hours in the summer.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required, Associate's Degree preferred; Proficiency in Microsoft Office, excellent customer service, time management and organizational skills. Successful candidates will also possess an attention to detail and the proven ability to multi-task; the ability to work independently and be a self-starter, often under minimal supervision, is also a must. Applicants must have the ability to interpret and implement Village policies and procedures, written instructions, and general correspondence. Starting compensation is $20.00 per hour.

Employment Opportunity – Public Works Maintenance Worker I

The Village of West Dundee is accepting applications for the position of Maintenance Worker I. The work involves performing a variety of semi-skilled maintenance duties in the Public Works Department. An Illinois Class B CDL with air brake endorsement is required within 6 months of hire.

Minimum Qualifications: high school diploma or equivalent (GED); general experience in construction and maintenance fields; customer service oriented person / team player & positive attitude required. Starting compensation is $22.40 per hour with excellent benefits.

IMRF Employer Cost & Participation Information

In 2019, the Illinois General Assembly passed Public Act 101-0504, which amends part of the Illinois Pension Code. The law requires the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) to maintain post certain employer cost and participation information on its website, and that that municipalities with a website post a link to this page. IMRF will update these reports annually.
